beautiful gardens!

On Saturday, we went to Ginkakuji Temple, home of the Silver Pavilion. Unfortunately, the pavilion was under going renovations, but the surrounding gardens were beautiful. Ginkakuji Temple is at the top of the Philosopher's Path, which connects several Kyoto temples. We visited several temples along the path, each beautiful and unique. It was such a serene feeling being able to sit on the veranda look out onto these incredible zen gardens.
